Main Street Woodbury is an all-volunteer, non-profit, urban revitalization organization.  Main Street Woodbury, Inc. (MSWI) is comprised of residents, merchants, property owners, and interested citizens dedicated to breathing new life into Woodbury's commercial district.  Ultimately, using the four point Main Street approach, MSWI will improve the quality of life for people who live, work, shop, and dine in this city.

We are proud to have been selected by the New Jersey State Main Street program in July, 1997.  Official recognition by Main Street New Jersey, and certification through the National Main Street Program makes MSWI a powerful force in the effort to bring positive change to South Jersey.

Main Street focuses its efforts on downtown revitalization activities while emphasizing Woodbury's architecturally significant assets.  Our volunteers and five committees pursue this noble goal.

Why do we need Main Street?

Main Street Woodbury works with the community in creating a new image of our business district by establishing communications among the separate groups to effectively bring about revitalization; by highlighting downtown in a positive manner to draw people there; by diversifying and rebuilding the business district’s economy and by achieving an attractive series of storefronts and restaurants. A continual enhancement of a pleasing business environment by Main Street Woodbury benefits business, customers, and community in Woodbury. An inviting atmosphere is being rediscovered in Woodbury by residents and visitors alike.

Why does Main Street work?

Our volunteers work with city, county, and state governments to create a new system of development for the town.  There are hundreds of Main Street communities nationally, allowing Woodbury to draw on their experiences to benefit our redevelopment.  Our volunteers bring change to our commercial district that benefits merchants, residents, and others with a stake in our future .
