Education: The Woodbury School District operates 3 Elementary Schools and Woodbury Jr-Sr High School, serving a total of more than 1,600 students. There is boat access to the Delaware River via the Big Timber Creek 2 miles from the center of Woodbury. The Woodbury YMCA has an indoor swimming pool, a basketball court, and weight rooms. There is also a health and fitness club in downtown Woodbury. There are roller skating facilities, bowling alleys, miniature golf courses and driving ranges in the surrounding area.

Religion: Woodbury is home to twenty-six different denominational houses of worship.

Libraries: The Woodbury Library provides library services free of charge to Woodbury residents in a modern facility opened in the fall of 1997. The Gloucester County Historical Society Library is also located in downtown Woodbury.
